Starting the third week of the month of April 2024, we call Foodie Contest: TYPICAL SWEETS AND DESSERTS (FROM OTHER COUNTRIES), intended for our users to present a typical dessert or sweet from a country different from that of each of them. In this contest we had a total of 6 entries, all of them great, so we have decided to reward them with 1000 $foodies token each. Additionally, each of the 5 participants and winners receives 0.05 HP courtesy of developer witness @sagarkothari88, as well as 20 ecency points, courtesy of our friend @bhattg, and today is the time to deliver the results and the prizes. Let's see.

The first entry to this contest was submitted by @quiubi, who shared with us the recipe for Portugal's national dessert: THE PASTEL DE NATA, a very old recipe from the country where she currently resides. In a nice post, she tells us not only about the history of the recipe, but also some curiosities about this delicious sweet, which is made from puff pastry dough. It also explains to us, in a great step by step, how to make this exquisite and very traditional dessert.

Making "khanom Chan" sweet dessert from Thailand

For this contest, @indahayuu decided to share with us a traditional sweet from Thailand, a country that neighbors Indonesia, where she resides. It is a very popular snack known as KHANOM CHAN, which is served at certain celebrations. To make it, she researched YouTube and Instagram, making combinations of two of the recipes that she liked the most, creating her own version, which she shared with us in a post with a very good step by step.
