Mantis, fly, and two grasshopper

in CCH2 days ago

This Sunday post will be my contribution to #sublimesunday initiated by @c0ff33a, #beautifulsunday initiated by @ace108, and my #sundayrandom where I share my random macro shots.

It is Sunday again guys, and it is time for another SundayRandom from me on this sublime and beautiful Sunday. I hope that all of you can spend this Sunday with your friends and family, and you guys can have fun.

This Sunday I have four different species for you to see.
I will start with the first species, and this is the praying mantis, a juvenile one. Actually, they are two different individuals, but both were living close to each other when I found them.

You can see the size difference of the two praying mantis, the one above is a lot bigger than the one below.

The next species I have is this colorful soldier fly. It was actually pretty tame, but because of my bad move, and bumped into the leaf it was resting on a few times trying to get a good angle, it decided to just leave me for good.

Then the next one is this small grasshopper, that was resting on the edge of the leaf. the size is pretty small,, but it can be pretty big once it is grow older and reach the adult stage.

Another shot before it hide behind the leaf, and then gone.

And the last species that I have today is another grasshopper. Look at the cone shape of the head, beautiful isn't it?

I feel that praying mantis are very interesting looking insects. My wife thinks they are creepy looking, but I thin kthey are cool. I love to have them around as well.

They are really cool for sure, the adult one is also very beautiful, and as a predator, they can get rid of some of the house lfy as well.

That is why I like having them around because they will keep other bugs down.

The soldier fly stood out for me as it's not that familiar lol. The grasshoppers look simply beautiful amidst the green background :)

The soldier fly is not very familiar, as they don't usually come close to human contact, only unless you have some kind of organic matter laying around maybe they will come and put some egg in it.
