My random shots today in the garden

in Homesteadinglast year

Hello everyone, good afternoon wherever you are, how are you this afternoon? Hope you are fine wherever you are.

Yeah, this morning I visited the garden again to see the plants I had planted some time ago. In the garden I planted mixed plants and I also planted not many, maybe enough for my family to enjoy. The crops I planted consisted of corn, sweet potatoes, chilies and papaya.

Below is the appearance of a corn plant. I planted the corn approximately two months ago and today I saw that it was bearing fruit and the fruit was already big. That means it won't be long before you can enjoy the deliciousness. I myself really like corn, especially when it has been processed into grilled corn, it's really delicious.

Well, below is the appearance of the sweet potato plant. I planted the sweet potatoes at the same time as the corn plants, but I don't know whether they have borne fruit or not. That was the first time I planted it. If you look at the appearance of the tree, it is very dense, hopefully the fruit will also be as dense as the tree.

Below is the appearance of a chili plant. I also planted chilies at the same time as the two plants above, namely corn and sweet potatoes. I didn't plant many chili plants, only five stems, as I said earlier, I only planted them for daily needs. The chilies have also borne fruit and the fruit is red, ripe and can be picked. But today I didn't pick it.

So, the last one is the appearance of the papaya plant. Only he himself is still small, I planted him two weeks ago. There are also a lot of them, just one stick😅

Your garden appears to be thriving! I am jealous of your gardening skills :) and as for the papaya, don't worry, those trees take a few years to get going but one day will be providing lots of fruit for you and your family. Oh how I miss papaya, I even miss eating the seeds! But, alas, they do not grow in the area where I live now. Good luck with the garden & everything else!

I just heard that papaya seeds can be eaten, how do they taste? @calendulacraft

They are both bitter and spicy all at once. The texture is interesting, kind of like fish eggs but somehow I like them. They are very helpful for getting rid of intestinal parasites.

Wow, that sounds interesting, but I've never eaten it. Btw do you eat the seeds that are still white or the black ones @calendulacraft

Yay! 🤗
