I saw this male and female pair of sparrows sitting on a fence together and wondered if maybe they are a couple. The darker brown one is the male, while the female is much lighter in color. I often see these birds in groups, and typically the group will fly away from me when I try and get pictures, so it was quite a treat to see this pair together and to be able to get nice close-ups of them.
