Show Me A Photo Contest Round - The Magpie family

This week's theme (ROUND 247)
SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD. FREE THEME

Hey, @nelinoeva. How are you?
Today I want to tell you about the magpies that live in the forest near my house and often come to my yard, and sometimes even to the feeder.
Initially, we didn't even pay any attention to these magpies. It seemed that they just come to us sometimes and that's it. But gradually we noticed that 4 magpies were flying to the doghouse. At the same time, one magpie was sitting to the side, and 3 other young magpies were gradually approaching the bowl of leftover porridge from different directions. The dog tried to chase away each bird separately and ran in a circle. It was fun.
This story was repeated every year while the dog Countess was alive. Now I have a dog named Nora, and she doesn't drive the birds away from her doghouse; she looks at them indifferently.
We realized that the mother-magpie taught her children to get food in this way.

But I had a question - where did the grown-up chicks go after a year? Birds raise new chicks every year, which means the old ones fly away. But where to? Create new families? By the way, I often see magpies in the forest, but I don't see crows. There are a lot of crows in cities near garbage cans, but there are no forty!

I always like the way magpies lift their tails. At this moment, I see that their ancestors were dinosaurs!

Now I'm thinking. In winter, jays come to my feeder every year. The maximum number of them is 4, every year. So far this year, there have been 3 jays at the same time. A question popped into my head-is this also a family of mom and kids? Where do grown-up children go? I thought the same jays came to me every year. I thought about magpies that they were new young birds every year, but I didn't think about jays. Now I'm laughing at myself.

I declare my bird restaurant open and invite all birds to it

Magpies are rather shy in my opinion. I could not get close to them.
They are interesting birds. Great choice for an entry.
