Awesome response @joanstewart, it's been quite a journey getting to know you! Shall I say my agony aunt at times when I'm uncertain.
Your calm wisdom and good advice is always appreciated!
Yes, I can't believe that it's almost a year since that most awful day of my life. Being able to bare my heart on Hive, has been a tremendous help.
I do think a small meet-up of Durbanites or anyone close enough, is a great idea.
(3am and I'm scrolling through Hive! Insomnia hits me at times...)

We tend to live from one day to the next, amazing how many responsibilities one has around a home, much more difficult coping on your own.

I stopped travel to/from Durban years ago after attempted hi-jacking, really put the wind up me, so wherever you wonder try take someone with always.

Losing loved ones, our time keeps ticking, loss forever felt no such thing "you get over it", you don't, simply carry on remembering the good times!

I rely on my son to keep everything going, NZ did not work out, so fixing/repairing flatlet for him, hubby refuses to see doctor trying to convince me he has lost it therefore unable to assist... Not much I can do unless the person admits problem to a doc for medication.

People really have no idea telling one that you'll 'get over it'.
I am careful, and have even taken Cynthia and Bonginkosi with me when going a little further afield.

We must try and meet sometime though, anywhere near you, if you can suggest somewhere nice that way?

Life is tough right now for so many people, I truly hope your son finds something.
All we can do is to take it day by day, and not fret trying to solve all of life's problems in one day.

My son continues to run his computer repair little business, one man business, never closed simply notified his clients who are mostly pensioners when he went and returned. Looking for alternative to work into a company one day....

Younger son and his wife have full time employment and live/work up your neck of the woods, I have only visited him once since January, they pop down regularly.

Once cleared from all the daily tasks will try make a plan and phone you then we can chat.

People are battling everywhere, let us hope for a better outcome with National Assembly sitting today, a more stable future for all.
