Hello everyone.
There was an earthquake in Istanbul yesterday and I shared a post about it.
After the earthquake, there were countless aftershocks, but we did not feel any of them. The
aftershocks continued today. My wife is much better than yesterday. I hope we will not experience the same scenes again.
Two days ago, we went to watch the Vakıfbank-Fenerbahçe volleyball match with my wife and friends. Today I will share my memories of the match with you.

Dün İstanbul’da deprem olmuştu ve bununla ilgili bir post paylaşmıştım. Depremin ardından sayısızca artçı depremler meydana geldi ancak hiçbirini hissetmedik. Artçılar bugün de devam etti. Eşim düne göre çok daha iyi. Umarım tekrardan aynı sahneleri yaşamayız.
İki gün önce akşam eşim ve arkadaşlarla birlikte Vakıfbank-Fenerbahçe voleybol maçını izlemeye gitmiştik. Bugün maçla ilgili anılarımı sizlerle paylaşacağım.
First of all, I should state that I am not a person who likes or follows volleyball. We went to watch the match as a social activity and the match was a final. If it was an ordinary league match, I probably wouldn't have gone.
I predicted that Vakıfbank would win this match. When I looked at the statistics the day before the match, I saw that Vakıfbank was 2-0 superior in the series. They won this match and became the champion.
Öncelikle belirtmeliyim ki Voleybolu seven ya da takip eden birisi değilim. Sosyal aktivite olsun diye maçı izlemeye gittik. Bide maç final niteliğindeydi. Sıradan bir lig maçı olsa muhtemelen gitmezdim.
Bu maçı Vakıfbank’ın kazanacağı tahmin ediyordum. Maçtan bir gün önceki gün istatistiklere baktığımda Vakıfbank’ın seride 2-0 üstün olduğunu görmüştüm. Bu maçı da kazanarak şampiyon oldular.
Since it was the final match, the stadium was very crowded. We waited in the queue for about ten minutes to get inside. Two minutes after we found an empty seat and sat down, the match started. I was a bit hopeful when Fenerbahce scored the first two points, but I got a bit nervous when Vakifbank scored six points in a row 😅
Even though 75% of the fans in the stadium were Fenerbahce fans, they had little impact on the game. So, I didn't try too hard and just watched the game 😅
Final maçı olduğu için stadyumun çevresi çok kalabalıktı. İçeriye girmek için yaklaşık on dakika sıra bekledik. Boş koltuk bulup oturduktan hemen iki dakika sonra maç başladı. İlk iki sayıyı Fenerbahçe alınca bir tık ümitlendim ancak Vakıfbank üst üste altı sayı alınca biraz gerildim. 😅
Stadın içindeki taraftarıların %75’lik bir kısmını Fenerbahçeliler oluştursa da oyuna etki anlamında sönük kaldılar. Ben de kendimi çok kasmadım sadece maçı izledim. 😅
In the first set, Fenerbahce players made many individual mistakes. Vakıfbank's players played much more professional and won the first set very comfortably.
The second set was not much different. Although Fenerbahçe coach made some substitutions, they lost the second set as well.
It was obvious from the way they played that Vakıfbank was better prepared for the match. The fact that they won the previous matches must have had an effect as they were much more confident.
İlk set Fenerbahçeli oyuncular bireysel birçok kez hata yaptı. Vakıfbank’ın oyuncuları çok daha profesyonel oynadılar ve ilk seti çok rahat bir şekilde kazandılar.
İkinci sette de çok farklı bir oyun yoktu. Fenerbahçe Teknik direktörü bazı oyuncu değişiklikleri yapsa da ikinci seti de kaybettiler.
Vakıfbank’ın maça daha iyi hazırlandıkları oynadıkları oyundan belliydi. Önceki maçları kazanmalarının da etkisi olmalı ki çok daha özgüvenliydiler.
At the beginning of the third set, Vakifbank again opened the gap. When the score was 10-4, the game was suddenly reversed and Fb took the lead. After a very competitive set, Fenerbahçe won the third set and brought the score to 2-1. However, Vakıfbank players were not affected by this score and played the fourth set with the same confidence. Although Fenerbahçe played more carefully with the effect of winning the previous set, Vakıfbank won this set as well and became the champion. They definitely deserved the championship to the end.
If it was the other way round, it would have been 2-1 in the series and a rematch would have been played. Vakıfbank players did not allow this and won the series 3-0 with a great game. It is our duty to congratulate them.
After the match, Fb players congratulated the champion team in a gentlemanly manner. We left the stadium after watching the celebration for a short while. It was a nice event for us. It would have been much better if Fenerbahçe had won, let's be healthy. 😅

Üçüncü setin başlarında Vakıfbank arayı yine açtı. Skor 10-4 iken bir anda oyun tersine döndü Fb öne geçti. Çok çekişmeli geçen setin ardından üçüncü seti Fenerbahçe kazandı ve durumu 2-1 e getirdiler. Ancak Vakıfbank’ın oyuncuları bu skordan çok etkilenmediler ve dördüncü seti yine aynı özgüvenle oynadılar. Fenerbahçe bir önceki seti kazanmanın etkisiyle daha dikkatli oynasa da Vakıfbank üst düzey mücadelesi sonucu bu seti de kazanarak şampiyon oldu. Şampiyonluğu kesinlikle sonuna kadar hakettiler.
Eğer tam tersi bir durum olsaydı seride durum 2-1 olacaktı ve tekrar rövanş maçı oynanacaktı. Vakıfbank’lı oyuncular buna müsaade etmedi ve harika bir oyun sergileyerek seriyi 3-0 kazanmış oldular. Bize de tebrik etmek düşer.
Maçın ardından Fb’li oyuncular centilmen bir şekilde şampiyon takımı tebrik ettiler. Kısa bir süre kutlamayı izledikten sonra stattan bizde ayrıldık. Güzel bir etkinlik oldu bizim için. Fenerbahçe kazansaydı çok daha güzel olacaktı, sağlık olsun. 😅
