As children, our world revolves around our parents. Even though my parents were separated, both of them had their influence on me in some way or the other. My mother was a school teacher and I always admired her profession. As a small girl, I thought that teaching was the only best profession in the world. Some days I would go to my mom's school and I would see everyone giving her so much respect. I would feel proud and important with that and I believed that it is such a respectful job. I still have the same beliefs; there is no doubt in that.
In my growing up, I always believed that I will become a school teacher. After I finished my 12th class, I also started giving private tuitions to kindergarten children. At some point I also felt that someday I will open up my own Children Nursery. I was very good with children, somehow, they would get fond of me very fast. It was all mutual. Teaching was my dream job. As children we siblings would play games also of teacher and students, where I would always be the teacher :-)
But then by the time I completed by university my vision changed and it tilted towards finance. I worked at an entry level with one finance company and soon realized, it was not for me, then I wanted to become a secretary. I did the shorthand and typing course, which was a requirement then for a secretary position, by the time the course completed my mind was off it, and I could not imagine myself doing this job. Somehow, I got attracted to airlines by then and landed up with an airline job, which felt right for me. I enjoyed that job for almost 10 years and then lost my interest in it. In-between, I had this kick of learning web-designing and I learned that as well, worked in it for 6 months and gave up. At this point of time, I started getting interest in Human Resources and Training. I upgraded myself with the required skills and competencies and since then have been stuck to it since past 20 years now. I am enjoying it.
After completing 10 years in HR, I had a very different inclination and that was learning about healing and spiritual practices. At this stage of life, I am on a part-time basis working on HR projects and also working on healing modalities. I feel good doing both of them so I do not want to give up on either.
I do not think that I will have fascination for any other profession now at this stage of life. I have already moved in many directions. I am happy that I explored everything that I felt right in that moment. When people are working in the same profession for years and years, I wonder how do they do it. I did not stick to one field, that may not sound very good to some, but in the bargain, I learned many different skills and that has helped me in life in many different ways.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
