Morning Distorted Shadows on the Way to Work
These images capture my morning walk from the hotel where I am currently staying to my workplace. These days I am lodged in a nearby hotel due to transportation difficulties, and this daily movement has become part of my routine.
It is still early, not even 8 a.m., and the sun is already behind me. As I walk, my shadow stretches long in front of me, distorted and elongated on the ground. It feels like an altered version of myself moving ahead, shaped differently by the angle of the light.
Looking at that distorted shadow made me reflect on how many things also feel distorted these days. Even this situation of staying at the hotel because of transportation shortages feels like a version of reality that is slightly out of its normal shape. Yet, like the shadow, it remains part of the same path forward.
The photos were taken with my mobile phone, and for the English version I used Google Translate.

Hola, amigos de la comunidad #ShadowHunters, gracias a la amiga @melinda010100 por convocarnos a esta iniciativa en su Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest – Round 423.
Sombras matutinas distorsionadas camino al trabajo
Estas imágenes muestran mi caminata matutina desde el hotel donde me estoy quedando hasta mi centro de trabajo. Por estos días estoy albergado en un hotel cercano debido a dificultades con el transporte, y este desplazamiento diario forma parte de la rutina actual.
Aún es temprano, no llegan a ser las 8 de la mañana, y el sol ya está a mi espalda. Mientras camino, mi sombra se alarga frente a mí, distorsionada y extendida sobre el suelo. Es como una versión alterada de mí mismo avanzando delante, moldeada por el ángulo de la luz.
Ver esa sombra distorsionada me hizo pensar en cuántas cosas también parecen distorsionadas en estos días. Incluso esta situación de quedarme en el hotel por la falta de transporte se siente como una versión de la realidad ligeramente fuera de su forma habitual. Sin embargo, como la sombra, sigue siendo parte del mismo camino.
Las fotos fueron tomadas con el móvil y para la versión en inglés utilicé el traductor de Google.
