Finding Something Where I Thought I Lost It. Small Things That Sustain Me #12 by @veramfund.

Hello @ladiesofhive community, once again with you with the twelfth chapter of **Small Things That Sustain Me.

Finding Something Where I Thought I Lost It

There is a very particular feeling that is not often talked about, but that we all know.

The feeling of finding something you thought was lost.

Sometimes it is something small. An object that doesn’t appear, a key, a paper, something you thought was gone. You go through the day with that slight discomfort, with the sense that something is missing.

And suddenly, it appears.

In an unexpected place, or maybe in the same place where you had already looked before. As if it had decided to hide just for a while.

And in that moment, something curious happens.

It’s not just the object that returns. It’s the feeling of relief. Of closure. Of “it’s okay now.”

As if a small tension is released inside the body.

It has happened to me more than once. Looking for something without finding it, giving up, stopping the search… and then finding it when I was no longer looking for it.

As if some things needed silence to come back.

That moment, even if brief, changes the mood. What felt incomplete becomes whole again.

And it makes me think that not everything that is lost is truly gone. Sometimes it is just waiting for the right moment to appear.

It’s not a big event.
It doesn’t change life.

But it brings back something small that was missing.

And that, even if it seems minimal, also sustains me.

This is Vera, learning to sustain herself in the simple things.
