Hi all, how is your weekend going so far? I am so glad to again share post on Weekend Experiences, so let's get right on to the prompt that I have chosen to share my post on today.
The prompt that I will be doing a post on is:
Sharing on the most attractive and beautiful place in city (for Singapore, it is essentially the country)
So let's begin today's sharing. All images used in the post are all taken by me.
Marina Bay Sands
In the past, if you are to ask me what is the most attractive and beautiful place in Singapore, I would say it will be the Esplanade, Theatres by the Bay as seen in my cover photo which is an theatre of the arts that host many concerts, plays, musicals etc. And it creates a beautiful city scape together with its neighbouring buildings as seen below. However, this had been dethroned and a new icon emerges.
Singapore is known for its skyscrappers and beautiful cityscape due to the lack of natural attractions or formations. And so, many a times what people remember and what Singaporeans are proud of is the iconic cityscape that we possess. After a long parliamentary debate on its construction and operations, the integrated resort fronting the Marina Bay finally opened in April 2010 and ever since become the landmark of the bay front area, standing tall with three towers and a horizontal platform at its top that stretches across the three towers as seen in the picture below.
The three towers are where the hotels are in the resort with its basement, where the casino is, that is connected to the conventions centre. The horizontal platform that I've mentioned is where the famous infinity pool is and it can only be accessed by hotel guest. Otherwise, public can purchase tickets to the skypark observation to have a birds eye view of the Marina Bay Front or the Gardens by The Bay. And here's a wide angle shot of the infinity pool done by me.
Having drink by the sun chair or even at the edge of the infinity pool is one great experience as you overlook the beauty of the bay front.
There is also an Art Science Museum at this place which has intriguing art exhibits year round.
Marina Bay Sands At Night
The beauty of this place explodes as night falls. While it looked like just a simple 3 tower architecture in the day, the night skies look gorgeous as there are special light performances which adds additional beauty to this city icon.
Using extended exposure to capture the beauty during the light show that happens every night will allow you to capture light beams coming out from these towers. Together with the lighted up Art Science Museum (bottom left) and Convention Centre. Not only that, the lights dance to the music and creates an amazing experience for those whom come to see.
To the side of Marina Bay Sands, there is also a Helix Bridge that is also iconic and complement it. Helix Bridge is like a leading path that connects the Esplanade area to the Marina Bay Sands.
Marina Bay Sands is one of the nicest man made architectural beauty for Singapore and become the new cityscape icon of Singapore. If you ever visit Singapore, please be sure to head on down to Marina Bay Sands to visit. It encompass a variety of activities and attractions within it and will be able to allow you explore for at least 1 day.
Closing
I am proud to share about Marina Bay Sands which I consider to be the most attractive and beauty of Singapore. While we do not have many natural wonders such as the Yellowstone National Park like USA, cityscape becomes our beauty and icon.
