Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing really well. A busy week at work with loads of datelines breathing down my neck but glad to be able to find sufficient time to manage my city. Compared to previous week, we still had quite a number of profession change this week but not as many as previous week. So let get on with today's sharing.
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.
My City and Intermediate Plans

SIM income have managed to break my previous record of 83 SIM and is now at 88 SIM which I am really glad. The most interesting thing about this is that even I had 5 unemployed citizens, I am still able to reach this figure without a drop in income due to social support. In this week, 4 young citizen also changed their profession to student and started schooling.
No Income Drop Even With Unemployment
I was collecting my daily young citizen through discord and found that while my unemployment increased as well, I gained income day by till it hits 88 SIM which is my current saturation. Typically when I claim young citizens, my income will drop since young citizens come with a -1 income stats. So what exactly is going on?
The key here is that at the earlier stage, I have yet to hit my saturation in terms of income and with young citizen claimed, I was actually increasing my tax refund that allowed to actually grow in income till I reach a saturation whereby the social support cost becomes too much that every increase in young citizen will hurt the income stats. So right now, what needs to be done is to further buy in more wind turbines in my case to reduce unemployment rate. Hopefully with further optimization, I will be able to report an income of over 90 SIM per day in next week's post.

I am a little low in layer 2 coins that I am able to repurpose for this week hence the growth in terms of SIM is not as huge. While at earlier stage I used more young citizen to bulk up my daily SIM income, it has reached a point of additional young citizen will cause SIM income to drop, hence I will continue to sell while trying to optimize the city.
No change in what I want to do, key focus will be to gather as much SIM as possible in the near term and push towards being a SIM Millionaire. Hopefully more layer 2 tokens from curation will come in next week for more repurposing into SIM.
Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 331,989 SIM. Slow and steady, the number are rising but I do hope it can actually rise faster to boost my passive liquid hive drip. Reduced in young citizen earlier slowed me down but I will resume now that the city is in equilibrium.
Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.
With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:
Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.60 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure is of no change, but with more young citizen sales and further bulking up of SIM, the daily liquid hive value will slowly increase. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.
Closing
I enjoy studying the math that comes with taxes, tax refund and also understanding how to improve my income. By being able to understand really helps with growing in the game. And at this stage, key is still to build towards being a SIM millionaire.
