Namaste to all the Warriors of Splinterlands!🙏
In this week's 🌟Splinterlands Social Media Challenge🌟 we will talk about a battle where under the condition of building a team with only range attackers with two rulesets. the way I built my team by focusing on the lineup with my basic limited cards deck and gave a tough fight to the opponent.
The total mana cap for this battle was 48, including the summoner's mana cost, as we all know. And the ruleset for this battle is Target Practice and Going the Distance.
My lineup for this outstanding battle!
Position | Summoner/Monsters | Abilities |
---|---|---|
Summoner | Kavor Skarn | Bloodline Dominion and +1 speed for the same bloodline |
1st Position | Steppe Stalker | Close range and Snipe |
2nd Position | Tokatag Conscript | Sneak, Thorns and Snipe |
3rd Position | Sultry Barmaid | Ambush and Snipe |
4th Position | Aranduriel | Sneak and Snipe |
5th Position | Desolation | Flying, Enrage and Snipe |
6th Position | Mar Toren Trader | Snipe |

I created my team by using 41 of my total mana cap!
Let's now look at the Battlefield and how all the cards are positioned!
Before the cards get summoners' powers!
After the cards get the summoner's powers!
Since both teams have ambush cards, they will be played first. My summoner did not get any power cards because it was only for the same bloodline, and the opponent had used his poison on my second position card.
I am still a novice in this game, and I am improving my gaming skills with each battle. Since my deck does not have very good cards right now, but I test something new and better every season, so ignoring the possibility of which other cards could have been used here, if you look at this lineup assuming that these were the best cards present in my deck in these circumstances, then you will definitely appreciate this lineup because if your deck has better cards, then obviously a much better team could have been made from it, but with limited cards, I worked on my strategy and apart from one card with close range ability, I placed all other cards at the back of the lineup, especially those with high attacking power.
Ambush!🔥
Well, first let me tell you about the attack. The opponent's ambush caused some damage to my first position card, after which my card's ambush knocked out the opponent's second position card. Now let's know why this happened!
If you pay attention to the cards and lineup of both teams. In that case, you will see that most of the cards of my opponent have low attacking power and less health, on the other hand, in my cards, I have paid attention to the health of the cards along with the attacking power, which is one of the most important stats of your cards in any battle and you will see its benefits further in the battle as well.
Round 1🔥
These are the screenshots of two back-to-back attacks of the first round in which the most powerful cards of both sides have knocked out each other's cards in their single attacks. But you see the enemy has only one such card apart from the first place card, and my team has comparatively more such cards, whose attacks' impact you will see in the upcoming battle.
Round 2!🔥
Here I am only showing the losses of the enemy, but this does not mean that my team did not suffer any losses. You can understand this from the decreasing number of my cards, but important is to see which team is in a dominating position and which team's cards are decreasing rapidly. Here you can understand the importance of having good attacking power with high health, and they also play an important role in keeping your heavy attackers on the backfoot in battles with rule sets where you cannot choose any other card except range attackers.
I hope you have now understood how important it is to pay attention to the team selection and the lineup. Keeping in mind every possible situation, you can make a better team even in such ruleset battles. And as I always say that it is not just about winning or losing, important is to know how everything happened in the battle because based on that, you improve your strategy and learn from the shortcomings and correct them. So I am sharing this battle.
