Do you remember the "small hands" situation?
Anyway...
There seems to be a bit of a change happening in the world currently and I was wondering if I am imagining it, or it is a thing. I am also wondering if the people in the US are seeing or feeling it too. Because, I sense that the responses from many countries to the US tariffs, isn't exactly what the US expected it to be. I think that they were expecting more countries to rollover and bend the knee. But there seems to be hesitancy to do so. It is like the rest of the world is pondering whether it is time to change course.
Has Team Trump overreached?
It feels a bit like it, especially with the retaliatory tariffs on the retaliatory tariffs, like putting 200% on alcohol from Europe. The US is the largest importer of wine in the world - probably because most of the wines grown locally aren't the greatest. But, who is that tax going to hurt? Which is why I am also getting the feeling that people in the US are getting a little nervous too now, with their greatest country in the world spiel, when it is becoming the most erratic country in the world. And, it is going to start impacting on their daily lives.
Has Team Trump overestimated the US population's stomach for this?
While there is still a decent percentage who are doing fine, there are also a lot of people in the US who are doing it hard already. How willing are they to struggle more, and how willing are the rest willing to be inconvenienced? For those in the US, what do you feel is the average person's appetite for what is happening currently? Are Americans really aware of the impacts, or is there the sense that all countries will bow down to the greatness that is the US?
That seems to be what Trump currently assumes.
And if he doesn't get his way?
Well, his track record is retaliatory, isn't it? And generally in the most childish way imaginable. He has a very fragile ego and it seems at this point, not too many are willing to "make a deal" with him globally, because he has proven the US as an unreliable trade or security partner.
Is this how he does business?
According to his history - yes.
But because people (understandably) wanted change in the government because it wasn't working for them, they seem to have made a change that is again, not going to work for them. And perhaps, not going to work for them at an even worse level than it was.
Are people getting impacted already?
I don't trust the media when it comes to bringing clarity on even simple subjects, and this is far from simple. People are going to be impacted, while a man-child throws tantrums, like a rich kid who has never been told no. He will take his toys and go home. But, this is his life experience isn't it?
What happens if this time, the world says no?

As I can only have one poll at a time, there are three parts to it, and you have three votes. And of course as always, you can add more detail and context in the comment section.
