This is Ladies of Hive community contest #281. Question of the week; Do you prefer working from home or from office? Why? Hope your weekends was well spent. You are all welcome to @sarahbaby blog.
When I work from home, I save money, I save time and I also save myself some stress. I will break it down bit by bit. I would save money in the sense that the money that I would have spent on transport that keeps increasing every now and then due to fuel increament, would be saved. I would save time in the sense that the hours that I would have spent on traffic would be used for something else. I would save myself stress in the sense that the stress of travelling to and fro the office would be reduced.

Transportation expenses and high cost of living in general has made many people to reconsider their working arrangements. Many prefer working from home expecially due to high cost of transportation.
When there was fuel scarcity in Nigeria, there will be a reduction in number of vehicles on the road making movement extremely difficult. In some cases, people would be forced to walk long distances just to get home or wherever they were going. Even with the long stressful walks, many would still arrive home very late at night, only to wake up early the next morning to face the same exhausting routine again. When I think of such situations, I would strongly hold my belief of working from home more solid.
Another reason why I prefer working from home is the comfort it gives. It makes life easier and allows me to organise my daily affairs very well. I can comfortably create my working environment and conveniently manage my work load efficiently without the pressure of strict office routines.
Another important reason is that I am a mother and a wife, so working from home will give me the opportunity to spend quality time with my family. I can attend to my children's needs, support them and still be there for my husband. I will be able to balance my work life and family life, because working from home would make it possible.
Working at the office no doubt has it own benefits, but I'm convinced that working from home has greater convenience, because it saves time, reduces expenses, and reduces stress especially during times of fuel scarcity.
