Greetings!
One thing that speaks so loud about us as humans is our finances. If our finances, which have to do with our earnings or stipends being given to us is not enough, then it would surely be told and seen in us.
Having said this, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “ My first earning and pocket money story.”
Let me start by telling us that I have no idea what pocket money is and this is because I have not been kind of entitled to it in my entire life.
However, if it's about my first earning as a salary, I think I have a story to tell on that. My first salary which is major to me was that of the one I received as a secretary in one of the construction companies in my area.
Back then, after I had finished with my OND, I applied for a post of secretary in a construction company in my area and at that company, my work was not limited to being a secretary alone but other areas which made my pay to be small when compared to my duties at the place.
That's by the way, after a month of working with the company, my first and major earning came in and it's 15k instead of 18k. I made a complaint to the company and they told me that I was being short paid. They later paid me the remaining 3k to complete my first earning.
After the complete payment by the company, I cashed out the money and removed my tithes as a Christian. Although the money was small, I needed to do the needful by also giving parts of the money to my parents as our custom demands here in this part of the world.
So, after I had done the needful, I used the remaining money for my personal upkeep and thank God I received my first earning in good health and was able to spend it accordingly which made me to be a fulfilled person.
