Dos personas muy importantes en mi vida están atrapadas en este recuerdo, mi madre y mi hermanito Andrés. Andrés marco mi vida con mucha enseñanza, mi deseo por estudiar educación especial estuvo dedicada a él, para enseñarlo y yo deseaba tanto que el fuera un niño normal.
Después que el nació y mi madre insistiera con el medico que no que el no se comportaba como los tres niños anteriores. El médico ya lo sabía pero era una época unos años donde no se contaba con mucha información sobre estas condiciones especiales. Algunos padres simplemente los ocultaban o protegían alejándolos de ese mundo real.
Mi hermanito menor causo muchos cambios en mi hogar, pasamos a estar cuidándolo constantemente, porque se hacia daño así mismo y le lanzaba objetos a otros cuando tuvo mucha fuerza. Era el más blanco de los cuatro y de rasgos hermosos. Fue diagnostica con síndrome de down y otros problemas.

Después de mis estudios de psicopedagogía y con los recuerdos de 16 años de vida, tuvo conductas de balanceo como los autistas, le emocionaba ver algo dando vueltas. Recuerdo muchos episodios peligrosos como lograr escaparse de la casa en alguna ocasión y sentarse al frente de la casa en plena avenida, por suerte el vigilante de la estación de gasolina de enfrente de la casa lo vio y detuvo el tráfico.
En una segunda ocasión se escapo pero hacia la parte de atrás de la casa la que daba al rio, pero la cerca y la puerta cerrada impidió que saliera. Había un deposito de bombonas de la empresa Puerto Gas que teníamos en la parte de atrás y comenzó a rodarlas por todo el patio. Por suerte no paso a mayores.
Comprendo lo agotador que puede resultar cuidar y proteger a un niño con una condición especial, se requiere de mucha energía y amor para agradecer sus vidas.
