Make America Great Again.
Make America Great Again (MAGA) is the slogan of the current President of the United States (POTUS). To make this dream true, the President start passing various executive orders some looked good , and some are really crazy and may be lacked the vision, may be some just are populistic but might not be feasible and not even be beneficial for United States itself in the long run. One thing I noticed at the current times he is most talked politician in the world in some case he is getting talked more of him then countries talking about their own Presidents and Prime minister, stealing the limelight in the political scenario.
I also observed that people have 2 types of following for the President , either they are very hard core supporter and either they consider him crook and even there was attempt to assassinate him during his election campaign, Ironically,person who tried to assassinate him also has word "Crook" in its name.
With so much hype around new POTUS, I decided to look on recent action and views, and out of many, the below 3 caught my attention.
Crypto Stance.
I do not understand the motive of him creating a crypto token with his name, and many of the crypto veterans considered it as a motive to get some personal gains. Though earning money and getting personal gains is not a bad idea , but the timing of its execution is really questionable and it does not look like to align with "MAGA" view till now, it just looking a scheme to extract some profits while riding on the popularity wave.
I am not sure that I can welcome his move for creating $TRUMP but I am really sure that crypto community can definitely welcome his move of pardoning "Ross Ulbricht" of Silk Road Fame.
AI deal.
I think $500 Billion with Open AI, Oracle and Softbank is the game changer for the future. Investing in the technical future can help in building technical excellence for the future and this will help in the economic growth in the future also. Currently Oracle is leading in the AI market and has presence in the cloud market in which they have already partnered with Microsoft and Google, this is likely to be going to be a successful project.
Birth-Right Citizenship.
It looks like much populistic move that is driving the "non American" out but think closely that most of the great leaders like the current CEO of Google, Microsoft and many were immigrated, so assuming that immigration is a problem and no "citizenship" right for the children born in US soil to them is little more far fetched and making "one rule to suit all". I guess this needs to be given serious thought as they have done or doing their part in MAGA.
I will like to see how the future is going to shape for United States and the world and I hope he has some serious "MAGA" vision and it was not just the lip service.
