Hello everyone! 🤗
Glad to be able to join this nice #phonography contest initiated by our friend @untilwelearn again.
Today, I am sharing these photos that I took a while ago during a walk with friends one morning.
We've walked through a path where these fruit - laden shrub/bush is being used as a fence or hedge. Because we were walking at a slow pace, we noticed these red fruits and none of us knew what they were.
So, I took a few photos to ask Mr. Google after the walk.
A friend picked a fruit, sniffed it and said it smelled a bit like lemon.
One friend joked that if they were edible, they would be long gone by now.

I found out later via Google, of course, that the fruit in my photo resembles a lime berry, locally called lemonsito. It is supposedly edible, with a citrus-like flavor similar to sweet lime. I have also learned that it's sometimes being processed into sweet treats.

Because of it's being dense and twiggy, it's perfect to use as a hedge. And perhaps because of the fruit's attractive color, it is also being used as an ornament. Interestinly, its aromatic leaves are traditionally brewed into home remedies for coughs, skin irritations, and other ailments. Now I know. Big thanks to Mr. Google for these infos.

Indeed, nature is full of surprises. Time spent in nature is never a time wasted, but a time well spent.

Thanks, everyone! Great week ahead. ✨🍒 ✨🍒✨🍒
