After a break, I am participating in shadow-hunting contest.
The heat wave is in full swing in my region, although there has been some respite in the last two days, as the temperature dropped from 45 degrees to 39 degrees today. But as we know, it's a temporary relief.
What we need in cities is more green spaces and turf and less reflective spaces, so urban planning should be factored in the question of heat wave. Unfortunately, we have given precedence to concrete jungles and skyscrapers in cities.
Anyway, I will share a few shadow photos clicked this week.
The first one is the shadow of a pole with a solar street light. You can see. The good thing is that Street lights are now going more solar, that's a sustainable and green feature of cities.
The other shots include the shadows of my window, precisely the imprints of the grills in the form of shadows with sunlight. It's not that catchy, a simple one, but that is what I could offer today.
Last week, the heat was so intense that, I managed to sleep in this small space beyond the sliding window, some people might have gotten scared at night. But that was the only option for me to negotiate a day at 45 degree.
The only sustainable solution is to plant more trees and revisit our consumption patterns and behavior. Those who are living below the tropic of cancer have to face a lot of trouble in the face of climate change. Some people may call it a hoax, but it's real.
That's all for the day.
Thank you.
