The decision to get rid of the queen size bed in the guest room in my son and daughter-in-law's condo to gain some usable floor space, prompted for the entire room to be remodeled!
The bed was sold to a mom who was looking for a bigger bed for her growing youngster. He came with her to pick it up and was very excited! A new sleeper sofa has been ordered for the room.
After the bed was gone the next step was removing the old carpet.
5 gallons of floor leveling material was used to get the concrete subfloor level. And then time was needed for it to dry.
The subfloor needed to have the rough edges smoothed out and then an underlayment was put down to provide cushioning and cover subfloor irregularities.
Finally time to unpack the new laminate flooring boards. There are 12 patterns and planning was needed if you don't want some obvious repeat of a pattern right next to each other.
This was the cutter used that prevented sawdust!
Finally the floor is done and it's time to begin painting!
I think they decided on the color in the middle for the walls!
I'll show you pictures when the room is done!
