Shadow Hunters Community Contest SMASh - Round 365
First of all, I want to express my congratulations to @melinda010100 for reaching the 7th Anniversary of Show Me A Shadow, a weekly initiative that has brought great satisfaction to all of us who have chased shadows everywhere to participate in each photographic challenge.
To join this celebration, I chose this pair of photos from my personal archive, which correspond to some beautiful benches made of wood and wrought iron located in a small public space in the city, on the side of a busy avenue.
Although I can understand the intention of the municipal and state authorities to provide the city with spaces for the rest and enjoyment of the community, certainly placing these benches outdoors and under the harsh sun that characterizes the tropics, and which probably can only be used by passers-by during the morning hours or at dusk when temperatures are more pleasant, is something paradoxical.
As I have described in previous posts, I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed, with the aim of improving or highlighting some element of my images.
Ante todo, deseo expresar mis felicitaciones a @melinda010100 por arribar al 7mo. Aniversario del Show Me A Shadow, una iniciativa semanal que nos ha brindado grandes satisfacciones a todos aquellos que hemos perseguido sombras por doquier para participar en cada desafío fotográfico.
Para unirme a esta celebración, escogí este par de fotos de mi archivo personal, que corresponden a unos hermosos bancos elaborados en madera y hierro forjado ubicados en una pequeño espacio público de la ciudad, a un costado de una transitada avenida.
Aún cuando puedo entender la intención de las autoridades municipales y estadales de dotar a la urbe de espacios para el descanso y el disfrute de la comunidad, ciertamente colocar estos bancos a la intemperie y bajo el inclemente sol que caracteriza al trópico, y los cuales probablemente solo pueden ser usados por los transeuntes durante las horas de la mañana o al anochecer cuando las temperaturas son más agradables, no deja de ser algo paradójico.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, usualmente hago uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed, con el objetivo de mejorar o destacar algún elemento de mis imágenes.
