My hubby and I decided to travel to Bukidnon and have coffee at the Forest Cafe to enjoy a different vibe and atmosphere. We chose this place because it is known for its cool climate and beautiful scenery, offering various activities to enjoy. It is also a popular destination for those seeking adventure and outdoor recreation. The journey to the cafe was truly marvelous; the scenery was stunning. As we arrived, we were greeted by beautiful mountains and clouds, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride along the road leading to the mountain.
When we arrived at the café, it was almost lunchtime, which worked out perfectly since we were quite hungry. We decided to dine here and fully enjoy the natural, cool atmosphere. The menu offered a variety of dishes, and I opted for "pakbet with shrimp" along with a coffee latte, which is their best seller. The café is spacious, and the ambiance is great. Most of the visitors seem to come from the South. Thankfully, we visited on a weekday when there were very few people, so it wasn't crowded. However, it should be noted that the prices were high, and we were on a tight budget, so we chose the healthy yet affordable option.
What I admired about this restaurant is that they don’t use air conditioning to keep customers cozy and comfortable, but the natural coolness of the place makes it a good place to stand by. The weather remains pleasant even when the sun is shining since the café is situated at the foot of the mountain, surrounded by trees that help maintain a cool atmosphere.
Once inside, I was impressed by the ambiance. To keep insects at bay (which can be common in mountainous areas), they have installed nets all around the place, allowing customers to enjoy their meals without being bothered.
When our order arrived, the staff was very friendly, which added to the serene and pleasant atmosphere. I had expected my coffee to be served in a real mug, but instead, it came in a branded printed cup, which I thought was a nice touch.
The coffee tasted great—not too bitter—and I preferred it with just a small amount of sugar. I enjoyed the warm cup of coffee, especially since the weather was gloomy, making it a perfect accompaniment.
Our experience at this café was limited to just a couple of hours because we could not travel home at night. The weather can be unpredictable, and I also have online classes in the evening that I do not want to miss. The travel time to the café was about one hour and thirty minutes. If you want to fully enjoy this place, they offer rooms for overnight stays, especially since it is quite far from the city. In our case, this visit was just a short trip, as we wanted to return after so many years. And my only reason for coming here because I want to try their coffee. LOL!
Thank you for reading my blog and see you next time!
Ciao!
