I've come to realize that it's often when we pause and look around that we notice the beauty hiding in plain sight. By simply slowing down, we'd be able to see and appreciate the beauty in our daily surroundings.
For me, that moment came last Sunday, when I caught a glimpse of a reflection in a neighbor's car. The funny thing is that I've walked past this car countless times, never thinking twice about the rear window and what it could reveal. 😂
But as I stepped into our yard and approached the car, something caught my eye, and that was the glass, which I'd never really noticed before. I moved closer, looked into it, and that's when I saw the reflection - the sky, the palm trees outside our compound, a glimpse of the car parked behind it, and even the whole frontyard. I was like "wow, this is beautiful! Why didn't I see it before?!" Hehehe.
I quickly grabbed my phone from my bag, positioned myself well and captured the first shot.

Then I zoomed in on the reflection to capture these ones.

It was nice I listened to my instincts to stop, thereby catching the beauty that was there all along, waiting to be noticed.
