Seasons change throughout the year and each one brings a different feeling to daily life. Some seasons feel active and bright while others feel quiet and slow. I really like winter despite it never snowing in the Philippines. I like the cold and that tiny droplets of white cold powder feels something romantic. What is your favorite season?
Seasons
Spring arrives with gentle rain,
Lush and green leaves show again.
Petals fall where cold once stayed,
New beginnings quietly made.
The air feels light, the days extend,
Old routines begin to mend.
Life restarts in subtle ways,
Longer light and brighter days.
Then summer comes with its heat,
Barefoot days and restless feet.
Skies stretch wide in endless blue,
Every hour feels hot yet new.
It is the time to go to beach,
The fun and joy within our reach.
That time your crave for something cold,
Popsicles and Snow cones never gets old.
Leaves then fall and start to die,
Makes you ask, "I wonder why?".
A different season starts to roll,
"Oh, I know. This is called fall.".
It's the time I feel so sad,
Dying trees really felt bad.
That is normal. No need to worry.
It's not your fault. Don't be sorry.
At some point, you see some whites,
Then it falls till endless nights.
New decorations starts to show,
Kid's laughter starts to flow.
It's that time you hear "Merry Christmas",
People getting gifts at last.
Stillness stays, both sharp and tender,
This is the last season. This is winter.
