Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about a great combination of cards to use in battles.
Combination
The combination that I am talking about is Possiblius, Coastal Sentry, Daarg Deadblast, and Noa the Just. This combination is very powerful as it increases your speed, removes some armor, and allows strong melee cards like Coastal Sentry the ability to smash through the opponent's lineup.
Possibilus the Wise is a water summoner that costs 6 mana. It gives all monsters on your side +2 health, trample, and reach. This is a very powerful summoner when combined with melee monsters.
Coastal Sentry is a water monster that costs 10 mana. It starts with double strike. It learns piercing at level 6 and knock out at level 10. This is a powerful card to use if it can survive long enough to attack.
Daarg Deadblast is a water monster that costs 7 mana. It starts with swiftness and weapons training. It learns triage at level 2 and dodge at level 3. I only have this card at level 1, but I think its amazing with the abilities.
Noa the Just is a water monster that costs 5 mana. It starts with rust. It learns dodge at level 3, backfire at level 5 and martyr at level 6. I only have this card at level 1, but it works well when teamed up with Daarg.
Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The ruleset this time is Stampede, and Aimless. This means that trample can continue attacking until a monster doesn't die, and all ranged/magic monsters gain the scattershot ability. There is also 39 mana available, and I can choose fire, water, life, or dragon splinter.
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Possibilus the Wise | 6 | Summoner | +2 Health, Trample, and Reach |
Diemonshark | 8 | 1st | Enrage |
Coastal Sentry | 10 | 2nd | Double Strike |
Merdaali Guardian | 3 | 3rd | Tank Heal |
Daarg Deadblast | 7 | 4th | Swiftness and Weapons Training |
Noa the Just | 5 | 5th | Rust |
Torrent Fiend | 0 | 6th | |
Total Mana: | 39 |
I use Possibilus the Wise for its abilities. Diemonshark is my tank because of its stats and enrage. Then I have Coastal Sentry as my damage dealer, who can attack from the second spot. I have Merdaali Guardian as my third monster with tank heal to heal my monsters. After that is Daarg and Noa as my support monsters. They can attack due to weapons training, and my last monster is just a filler.
Round 1
At first glance, I think that this match is to my advantage, but anything could happen. My opponent has quite a few monsters, so my melee monsters might not hit very often and scattershot might not focus on his tank. Overall, I still think that I have the advantage due to my damage compared to my opponents.
Round 4
My opponent didn't have much luck due to the scattershot and most of my monsters are still alive. I was unlucky in my melee hits as my opponent's tank is still alive. However, I think that this match is my win considering the damage difference. My opponent is down 3 monsters so my magic monsters are more likely to kill off his tank soon.
I ended up winning this match later that round because my melee monsters didn't miss.
Conclusion
The battle this time played out exactly how I thought it would. Possiblius, Coastal Sentry, Daarg Deadblast, and Noa the Just is a powerful combination of cards as it has so many powerful support abilities, and Coastal Sentry is that powerful as a damage dealer. Both me my opponent and I suffered some bad luck to some extent, but I think my opponent had it worst.
