Magandang buhay💗
The weekend went well up here in the mountains, thankfully. It was colder, so we got out of bed a little late. I used to wake up at 5 am in DD and enjoy a cup of hot water, but now that we are in our first home, my body seems to be lazier. But I did have a really good workout, starting at 10 am—not at the gym or anywhere else, but outside the house.
I thought our unpainted concrete exterior walls were too dull, so I decided to apply some cementitious waterproofing, not just for aesthetic reasons, but because I heard it helps keep moisture off the walls. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the physical activity. From mixing to brushing up and down, and climbing the ladder. My uncle (who came back for Dad regarding the concern he has about their ancestral property), teased me, saying I should have become an Engineer or something similar, LOL!
He's got a point, though. For some reason, I feel more alive doing "man stuff" as some people put it. It's not finished yet, as I only finished the first coating on the back wall.
Anyway, 'nuff of that and let me share some shadow hunts at the viewing deck during our unplanned drive last week. I was looking around when I noticed these shadows of the Pergola's overhead beams. Naturally, I took photos of them.

And clicked some more. Because, why not? I'm a hunter after all, LOL! Love the cool shadows of the railings, and the canopy too.

A view of the mountains from the deck.

Caught some reflections on the water tank below the deck.

And these shadows of the gate and the fence are quite nice. I snapped them while we were going down.

And the view of the deck from the roadside.

It was a nice stopover. Not only did we cool the engine down, but we also enjoyed some amazing views and hunted shadows! We left the place and continued our drive after the wee pictorial by the road barrier.
