We were traversing the highway leading to the City of Pines on the early morning of the 29th when we spotted the lake far below the mountains; hence, we decided to pause for a little while to enjoy the view and capture photos, specifically the reflections on the water. The hubby knows just what I wanted, lol!
The sun was about to peek through the mountains from afar, giving some warmer hues in the skyline.

Point-and-shoot mode was activated the moment I stepped out of the truck. Got plenty of shots, but sharing only a few of them today.

There was a hut installed by the roadside, for those like us who want to take a break and enjoy the moment, watching the lake and the landscape. Walked toward it and took some of these pictures.

Also noticed the small boats in the corner of the lake. They may be used by maintenance crews, locals, or even tourists who want a boating experience, though I'm not sure.
But yeah, there is a visible track leading to where the boats are, so I believe people are allowed to get closer.

Anyway, we left the place afterward, only to stop a kilometer or so away, because we spotted the dam.

We didn't stay long since we had been down there before, albeit it was at night.
And this, of course, is my participation in the Reflection Hunting initiative by Olgavita. It was not surprising to see that the Shadow Hunters is my top community in 2025 (and also one of my top 3 in previous years). What can I say? I love hunting, lol!
Joke aside, I tend to get drawn to shadows and reflections, even if I am not intentionally hunting or looking out for them.
Courtesy of HiveCreatorsWell, I have hundreds more in my gallery and wouldn't hesitate to share them throughout 2026. Don't get fed up, yeah?😊
Thank you, and here's to a fabulous day in the universe!
