The life come so buy in today world that some time we are struggling to spare time for ourselves. This leads to many other problems we faced now days. The technology is make our life easy but on the other side the technology has make us so lazy also that for some basic activates we are depending on gadgets. For example after getting the smart phone we do not remember the contact numbers of others or many time we do not even remember our own number. This is one side effect of the technology, some one may be raised the question that why to remember the numbers when we can easily take it from the mobile and also directly dial it to contact some one, on one side its ok and good also as it save the time and energy but on the other side it also weaken our basic memory. When every I am going to market to purchase basic necessary items for home and kitchen I always write them on the paper or in my phone so that I should not forget anything, but my father do not do that (exceptions are always their like if the list s too ling). This indicated that I need to focus on my memory power. In my option the dependency on the technology is one major reason.
Let me share one incident when I forget something very import but fortunately corrected it before it gone too late. I was working in western part of country and it was approximately 1500 kg away form my home town. We usually visit our home town twice a year. The journey by train took more then 24 hours and timing were also a issue along with the berth availability. The train route is one of the busiest route so you have to book the tickets more then 2 months in advance other wise you will be in the waiting list. For such reasons we usually travel by train to save the time and remove the headache, no doubt the air fare were always more then the train fares. That was the time when the ecommerce were expending. Online flight booking portals were trying to attract more and more people to their sites. One marketing strategy was the deals and discounts, and I was able to crack some good deals at that time. Some time those deals were so effective that I was able to match the air fare with train fare approximately.
We planned to visit our home town so the first thing I done was checking the online portals where I can get the good air fare deals. Fortunately I got some by searching and comparing two three portals. Those portals normally provide the good deals to new users and such cases I normally create a new account using the new mail ID or phone no, even used the mobile numbers of my family members. To get the deal their was a requirement of second account as form one account I was bale to use one code for one booking only. I booked one ticket first and thought that will book second ticket for my wife with other account. Unfortunately some other work comes just after I booked the first ticket for myself. I thought I will book the ticket after some time lets first complete the some other wok which come across. Unfortunately I forget to book the ticket afterwards also. The week before the travel date I was rechecking the travel itinerary and was not able to find the second ticket. I was checking the booking history of all the portals I usually used for booking but the truth was their was not booking for the second passenger i.e. my wife. This was big shock and surprise for me. Immediately I checked for the ticket price of same flight and as I was expecting the prices were too high. It was like I was looking for the deal and now I have to pay the fare 2x or 3x. I checked for the alternate flights and found another one which was departing one and half hour early. The price was less then the current fare of same flight I booked for myself but higher then the usual rate. I though that this was the price I have to pay for my mistake. My wife reached before me and waited at airport for one and half hour.
