Today I'd like to show you some lovely flower photos I took at the flower fair before march 8th. I mean the flowers are lovely, not referring to my photos here 😜 I wouldn't dare calling my photos lovely, I hope you know that. That is for others to say. Or not.
The reason I visited the flower fair was, first of all, to enjoy the colorful offer it is usually expecting visitors. Another reason was to look for some unusual, unknown, or not very popular flowers and obviously, to buy some as well. There are always gems at every exhibition or fair, you just need to keep your eyes open.

There are some usual flowers, that you can buy during spring and they kind of symbolize spring as well, because the 8th of March is the most common occasion these flowers are bought and gifted for, but we don't live in isolation anymore and repeating the same thing over and over for years leads to boredom, I'm usually shifting towards adopting new ones.
This is all nice and understandable, but there's another factor to take into consideration and that's your budget. Entering any fair without limitations can lead to financial disaster, so I had to be careful. First I walked through the whole market, mapping up the offer, asking questions where I needed help from specialists (there were a lot of vendors from greenhouses and they are specialists), marked the place in my mind, to be able to find it later and then went back to buy.
It's a good strategy that has saved me from overspending, but last year I had a very bad experience at another fair, when on a very rainy day, I told a lady "thank you for now, I'll see what I'll decide" and most likely she had enough and snapped at me telling me to never say that as it's not true and I'm not going to go back to buy anyway. My jaw dropped to be honest as no matter how angry you are, you don't lash out to customers, it's better to remain professional, regardless of personal feelings, so I told her, after her remark, I'm positive that I'm not going to come back to buy and left.
Anyway, let's have a look at the flowers I photographed at this specific fair, that I already miss.
Tulips are special in so many ways and you need courage to buy them as they last only for a very short period of time, but then there are these that in my opinion can beat so many flowers out there. Have you ever seen such tulips? There were only these at the fair, one vendor in total had them and I didn't dare ask for the price :)
What you see on the photo for me is the queen of spring flowers. It's called crocus and it is a perennial flower that grows outside. I see it as delicate as a ballerina and unfortunately I've never had any.
This beauty lives in soil, not pots, so ... I'd never dare to torture it. Purple is not my favorite color and would stay away from it, but not in this case.
If I'll ever have a garden, these flowers will have a special place in it, that's for sure. Imagine seeing them growing every spring.

Snowdrops. Honestly, I feel sorry for these little beauties. When I was a kid, these snowdrops dominated the event, most men bought snowdrops for the ladies and only the wealthy bought other flowers. Those times are gone now, snowdrops are protected, you can get fined for picking them and not many buy them, but not for this reason.
Dry flowers did not have much success. Who would want to get dry flowers, when you have so many lovely, fresh ones?

Maybe one day I will buy a big basket of flowers like those, as they were calling my name 😍
This is it for today, let me know what you think.
