Most people find it difficult to comprehend my perspective but I'm not hard to understand. People like me prefer to prioritize safety above pleasure, I don't feign ignorance to danger just because it is fun. I'm sure you are already starting to understand how I feel about what I'm about to say.
The moment I saw this prompt topic, a floating island, I was like; Na that is not my thing. There is a reason why up till this moment, I have not stepped into a boat before, yeah you heard me right. I don't predict safety, when it comes to safety, I only believe what is guaranteed.
The fact that island is surrounded by water, still makes me feel uneasy. Well, I live on the mainland and I'm comfortable. As if an island surrounded by water is not terrifying enough, now I have to consider a floating Island? No way. Even if it is free, I wouldn't consider it.
Lets say crisis were to occur and everybody is running to safety, the only way to descend will be through an aircraft. I'm very sure those pilot will first guaranty the safety of themselves and the wealthy ones, where does that leave an average citizen?
Lets get something straight, I wasn't forced to go up there, which means whatever happens is by choice. There are few things that we need to consider, why is the island floating? Does gravitational force work in reverse around it? if it is mechanical engineered, what if whatever is keeping it afloat runs out of power? I wouldn't want to fall to my own death.
I am extremely calculative when it comes to my safety, fun and pleasure comes second to my safety. As long as I can't figure out if I would be 100% safe, I'm not going anywhere. Even I if I did, I might still not board it, there are enough adventures for me to explore on land.
