Feliz noche amigos de Daily Blog, está noche quiero compartir un poco de un día en el cual tuve que salir a comprar algunos insumos para hacer unos suspiros y a pesar de que es algo que normalmente hago estos me dieron un trabajo extra pero a la final quedaron bastante bien.
Happy night friends of Daily Blog, tonight I want to share a little bit about a day in which I had to go out to buy some supplies to make some sighs and even though it is something that I normally do, these gave me extra work but in the end they turned out pretty good.
Tuve que ir al centro de la isla y mi primera parada fue ir a una tienda de repostería y es que para los suspiros que tenía que hacer debía comprar unas bolsas de celofán, me azúcar, palos de madera y además estuve viendo algunas otras cosas que quiero comprar como unas cajas de cupcakes para el día de las madres. También amo que la cantidad de gomitas que hay en este lugar pero hoy no compré nada, otro día que tenga que ir compraré. Luego de pedir lo que necesitaba me fui hasta la caja para pagar los productos que llevaba.
I had to go to the center of the island and my first stop was to go to a pastry shop and for the sighs I had to make I had to buy some cellophane bags, sugar, wooden sticks and I was also looking at some other things that I want to buy like some boxes of cupcakes for Mother's Day. I also love the amount of gummies they have there, but I didn't buy anything today. I'll buy them another day when I have to go. After ordering what I needed, I went to the register to pay for the items I was carrying.
Luego de comprar algunas cosas y caminar por el centro de la isla, me encontré con una de mis tías y la acompañe a hacer unas compras y a buscar una pieza para su carro.
After buying some things and walking around the center of the island, I met up with one of my aunts and went with her to do some shopping and look for a part for her car.
Luego fuimos a una mercería y es que necesitaba comprar cinta para hacer unos lazos.
Then we went to a haberdashery and I needed to buy some ribbon to make some bows.
Al llegar a casa coloque todo lo que necesitaba para comenzar a hacer los suspiros y estos normalmente me los piden para repartirlos en rezos y pues me gusta prepararlos.
When I got home, I set out everything I needed to start making the sighs, and people usually ask me to divide them into prayers, so I like to prepare them.
Luego de tener el merengue listo para hacer los suspiros lo dividi para pintarlo en colores claros y los coloque en mangas pasteleras.
After having the meringue ready to make the sighs, I divided it to paint it in light colors and placed them in pastry bags.
Luego de tener el merengue listo, comencé a armar los suspiros, ya que tenían diferentes colores y no tenían que ser tan grandes. Según yo tenían el tamaño perfecto y el color había quedado bastante bien.
After I had the meringue ready, I started putting together the suspiros, since they came in different colors and didn't need to be that big. I thought they were the perfect size, and the color turned out pretty well.
Y mientras los suspiros estaban en el horno aproveche de jugar un rato con mi sobrino y el quiso que le diera un poco de merengue italiano y pueden ver cómo se llenó toda la cara de merengue, este pequeño está un poco tremendo la verdad.
And while the sighs were in the oven, I took the opportunity to play for a while with my nephew, and he wanted me to give him some Italian meringue. You can see how his face was covered in meringue. This little one is a bit terrible, to be honest.
Normalmente los suspiros se cocinan en una hora, pero hay que cocinarlos a una temperatura baja, ya que lo que logramos con esto es deshidratar el merengue. Pero creo que como estaba con mi sobrino se me olvidó bajar la temperatura del horno y cuando saque los suspiros del horno tenían un color que la verdad no me gustó mucho ya que se veían opacos y además habían quedado un poco grande y no entraban en las bolsas que tenía. Y esto puede pasar podemos tener mucho tiempo haciendo algo y no siempre va a quedar bien. Así que deje estos para comer los en casa y comencé a hacer más merengue para hacer más suspiros.
Normally the sighs are cooked in an hour, but they must be cooked at a low temperature, since what we achieve with this is to dehydrate the meringue. But I think that since I was with my nephew I forgot to lower the temperature of the oven and when I took the sighs out of the oven they had a color that I really didn't like very much since they looked opaque and they were also a little big and didn't fit in the bags I had. And this can happen; we can spend a lot of time making something, and it won't always turn out well. So I left these to eat at home and started making more meringue to make more sighs.
Finalmente hice más suspiros y quedaron bastante bien, los coloque en sus bolsas y coloque el lazo, el resultado final fue hermoso. Me acosté de madrugada para terminar esto pero quedaron hermosos y a mi tía les encantaron.
I finally made more sighs, and they turned out pretty good. I placed them in their bags and attached the bow. The end result was beautiful. I went to bed early to finish these, but they turned out beautiful, and my aunt loved them.
