This is going to be a random a miscellaneous post, such as I occasionally do.
To begin with, I got a new ink! My wife bought it for me the other day and just gave it to me last night. She saw it at the store and thought it was a cute color so there we go.

It's a nice shade of medium to dark blue, kind of leaning towards turquoise. I like it. It also has glitter inside, which you can kind of see in the photo. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of that. I like the color, but the glitter... If I want some flare to my writing, a color is enough—I don't need glitter. Due to that, I probably won't use this ink a whole lot for my own personal writing or for work. I also suspect it has no water resistance, so that's also a negative factor for me.

All that said, it is on the fun side. When I wrote something with it, my 12 year old said it looked like some wizard's ink. I'm sure he must have been thinking of Harry Potter. It was a sparkly green in there, wasn't it? Or gold? I read the first book to him a few years ago when he was 8, so I'm a little hazy on the details.

Anyway, a nice gift. I'll keep it in a pen and use it sometimes, maybe in family notes or things like that. Given my son's reaction, maybe I'll also use it on notes to him.

If you'll recall, I wrote a few days ago about Howard Hughes (HHH) possibly becoming the next Berkshire Hathaway. That's a bold statement, of course, because is it even possible for any investment to beat the market as consistently as Berkshire has or for any investor to be as good as Warren Buffett? But it also may not be too much of an exaggeration. Bill Ackman is no Warren Buffett, but he has had a lot of success and his takeover of HHH could be a big deal. Anyway, go read what I wrote about that before.
The latest news about this is that the HHH board rejected his offer, which was 10 million shares for $90 each. The company values their shares closer to $118 per share, despite the fact that it is currently only trading around $70. So now we just wait and see what the counteroffer might be.
Anyway, here is a great video looking into it:
