Why is it that off all the good things that people do we only remember the evil things? Why? That is a deeper question for everyone of us to answer for ourselves. We should answer answer it for ourselves. I consider that sitting down to reflect on this question can help me as a christian in the way I relate with people. What causes it that it is only evil things that come to my mind not the good ones?
The answer to this question is that we are not walking in love. If we walk in love for one another, we will not be overwhelmed with the evil that people do to us. We will forget everything that is not worth remembering if we are walking in love.
The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us love. It teaches us love for our friends and for our enemies. We are to love both those who do good to us and those who do bad to us. It is the message of love which we are taught from the doctrines of Jesus Christ.
If we walk in love according to the doctrines that we are learning, we will know how to be good to everybody. We will forget about the evil that men do to us easily. Let us walk in love. True forgiveness is born out of love.
