"What Do You Think About the Wars Happening Around the World?"

Hello #indiaunited friends. Trust your week is going well. I welcome you to my blog.

Talking about the wars going on around the world is a very good thing. This is because some people have been shying away from the realities on the ground. This war has not really done much good for us, so to speak.

Imagine the cost of fuel in my country of origin going up from about eight hundred and twenty-five naira, which was not even up to a dollar before the wars erupted, to about two dollars ($2) right now. This sudden hike has affected transportation costs, medical bills, food prices; in fact, everything has become automatically inflated.

It has also affected production as casual workers who are in the higher percentage of labour are no longer consistent at work. There is also a significant increase in workers' annual leave requests to stay away from work for up to a month, to reduce the impact of inflation on their salaries. At least they will be off duty to watch if the coming days get better.

Secondly, it has also put pressure on payroll, causing companies to spend more due to the high cost of production, which emanated from the sudden hike in fuel, diesel, and even cooking prices. I have received loads of different kinds of requests, ranging from an I owe you (IOU) emergency annual leave request and casual leave.

Just today, there was an emergency meeting with employees to see how the management can support by providing transportation allowance to reduce the impact and stabilise production since salary payments are almost around the corner.

The whole world, directly and indirectly, is feeling the impact of the recent wars and rumours of war here and there. No wonder the heat is also on the increase, maybe because the ozone layer has been tampered with by missiles and other war equipment.

There are also food supply shortages and some drugs that are supposed to come from these war-ridden countries; what a pity. I think at this point, the world leaders should always resort to dialogue rather than going to war. The consequences of these wars are felt much more by the developing countries. Remember, they said, when two elephants are fighting, the grass suffers the most.

We can’t overemphasise the gain of peaceful co-existence, dialogue, and amicable resolution of issues rather than allowing it to get to war. More than ever, our world needs healing from pain, broken hearts who have lost their loved ones, and most importantly, to give peace a chance by the warring factions. Peace be still.
