The world is growing very fast right now and we all know how plastics have become an integral part of our environment. There have been several attempts in the past to get rid of plastics and go for an alternative but it doesn't seem to be a practical viable solution. We can say that it can take several years for common people to understand how plastics can be harmful and I personally find it very challenging to explain this to my parents and make them understand. So I'm not going to go to that part.

Instead what if I tell you that we can convert plastics into usable materials by recycling them. There have been several research works going on along these lines. Today Chennai stands to be on top for converting plastic waste or garbage wastes into valuable things. Most of these plastic are just changing from one form to another and currently the attractive option is to see it as building materials for house as well as roads.
After seeing the record where several tons of plastic waste getting converted to valuable items, many other states in India have started exploring this in their state. Singapore is a good example for a country that already has a good waste management system.
