I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.
About three years ago, my mother received two baby geese as a gift from my in-laws. Those little goslings were so tiny that they could fit in the palm of your hand. My mother has always loved raising ducks and chickens, so she was overjoyed to have them. Every day, she would feed them with care, give them clean water, and let them wander freely around the yard.
As time passed, the two baby geese grew into beautiful adult geese. Not only that, they have now formed a lovely family of nine geese in my mother’s backyard. A few have even been slaughtered and enjoyed as meals, since goose meat and eggs are both incredibly delicious. In our village, geese are admired not only for their beauty but also for their taste and nutritional value.

One afternoon, I went out to look for the geese and found them grazing peacefully in the open field. Some were walking in the grass, while others were splashing in small puddles of water. I couldn’t resist capturing a few photos on my phone. Watching them move gracefully and hearing their soft calls created such a peaceful and refreshing feeling.
However, there’s a funny side to it too — geese may look elegant, but they are quite brave and a bit aggressive! Whenever they see an unfamiliar face, they start honking loudly and sometimes even run to bite, just like a snake! So, whenever I see geese in an unfamiliar place, I always keep a safe distance — haha 😄
All in all, my mother’s geese have become a charming part of our home. Their waddling, honking, and playing in the water bring life and joy to the yard. I truly believe that these little creatures carry the simple beauty and calmness of rural life within them.
