Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.

What Account Use

I'll play my Scholar Account (IGN: BLTZR-WIZARD-724). I will reveal my primary technique in this rule set Champion/Diamond League level.

Challenge Rule set

Equalizer is the challenge, which gives all units equal health on either team's highest health.

Comment below with your opinions on the potential lineups at this level. Is it effective for this battle ruleset? Let's see and match up with the Equalizer rule set.

Equalizer

It gives equal health to all units and will based on either team's highest health.

INTO THE BATTLE:

Rule Set

Heavy Hitters

  • All units will gain the Knock Out ability.

Equalizer

  • gives equal health to all units and will based on either team's highest health.

Recommended summoner to use Earthquake for this match:

Since Earth and Fire are only active in this rule set with 20 mana-cap I will choose Earth Goblin Psychic because I want to use the Healing ability of Goblin Psychic which gives me a chance and hope for surviving most of the rounds. Fire Element is also good for this rule set because of Scavo Firebolt, Tenyii Striker, and combined with Uraeus and Chaos Agent but I feel like choosing this lineup 😅 Either of the elements is good just choosing the right unit lineup must analyze which to put with abilities it has.

Note: I only have limited cards but they are useful in some rule sets and I will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want a high chance of winning, I advise you to rent or buy useful or stronger cards for most rule sets.

Obsidian

  • Adding magic damage by 1 to friendly units.

    • With earth element, this is the ideal choice as it allows you to sneak attack with Venari Scout and do a respectable amount of magic damage at a low mana cap. I can combine it with Uraeus for sneak attacks and Chaos Agent for tanking because the majority of the unit helps counter all attacks and a chance of incoming miss attacks from the opponent.

My Lineup

First position - Chaos Agent
  • Acts as a tank in the first position because of some useful abilities, Dodge, Phase, and Backfire a chance of miss incoming attacks, and if its miss it will trigger Backfire causing damage to the enemy unit -2 melee damage. Perfect combo of the rule set Equalizer.
Second position - Mycelic Morphoid
  • A Second position for Mycelic Morphoid, I chose this for an extra tank in the first position if my Chaos Agent is executed. Also has Thorns ability if the opponent uses melee damage.
Third position - Goblin Psychic
  • A support unit of the team because of healing ability is useful for the first position to heal and survive at least most of the rounds.
Fourth position - Uraeus
  • Main damage to my team with a chance of applying Poison to the enemy unit with 3 melee damage sneak attack
Fifth position - Venari Scout
  • Another opportunity ability attack with 3 melee damage and dodge which is helpful to my back position a chance to miss incoming sneak attacks.
Last position - Acid Shooter
  • Supporting damage because of a chance of applying poison to the enemy on anyone it hits for the ability of Scattershot.

Analyzing Battle

As you can see I didn't utilize the use of Obsidian because my plan is to use Sneak attacks and heal my first-position Chaos Agent hoping to survive most of the rounds. The opposing team uses also Obsidian and it prioritizes magic damage, Djinn Biljka, Spirit Hoarder, and Goblin Phsycic. Djinn Biljka is the stronger opponent because of the massive 3 magic damage and adds 1 by the summoner making it useful in Equalizer because of only cost 3 mana. It seems that I dominate the opponent by speed which give me to attack first. Hoping my Chaos Agent do the job done😅.

Effective or not?

Surprisingly it is my win and my plan of using the Chaos Agent did well in executing the match, miss the attacks from the opponent, and my Uraeus and Acid Shooter were able to apply poison on Fungus Fiend and Goblin Psychic which gave me the upper hand of winning the match. As you can see the opponent Fuungs Fiend is not fully max level and dont have the ability of Slow which again gives me a speed advantage 😁. I think speed is really important in this match which is why my Chaos Agent was able to miss most of the attacks of the opponent, especially the opponent Djinn Biljka.

This battle is completely up to speed. Bruce Lee says in Enter the Dragon "I don't hit, it hits all by itself". This quote is said to be the most powerful teaching about speed and power.

😁 However, I might lose if the other team has some powerful Legendary or low mana cap units.

My favorite line-up in the element is water where most units found are high in speed, If you want to use Water Line-up, please read over some of my blogs; they could be useful. 😊

nice choice. it's always good to use lower mana cards for equalizer ones with low hp are the best cuz usually they have good abilities or other stats

In this rule set low mana cap but in a high mana cap it won't matter, just put what stronger/useful unit u want for line up. And also got lucky win on this match🤣

ya for low mana cap. high mana cap is a bit different but there are stlil interesting choices O.O like maybe that 6 mana reward card with 1 hp

Dumacke Orc really interesting card with useful ability and decent damage. The only disadvantage is if fought by magic, but yeah really depends on the rule set given

yes o.o but with equalizer its ok i think wtih magic u can put it with immortalis :P
