Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.
What Account Use
I'll play my main Account (IGN: ZACTIAN). I will reveal my primary technique in this rule-set max-level cards in a modern format.
Challenge Rule set
Heavy Hitters is the challenge, in which all units will have Heavy Hitters ability. It's a good combo with stun for incredibly high damage once stun and hit triggering Knock Out ability.
Comment below with your opinions on the potential lineups at this level. Is it effective for this battle ruleset? Let's see and match up with the Heavy Hitters rule set.
Heavy Hitters
INTO THE BATTLE:
Rule Set
- All units will decrease 1 armor every each round.
- Summoner cannot give buff/debuff abilities to units.
- Every unit gets the ability to Knock Out.
Recommended summoner to use Heavy Hitters for this match:
Dragon Element summoner with low mana costs is ideal because of Silenced summoner, in my case, Quix the Devious is the only summoner that only costs 4 mana. Dragon element has many options for picking extra units to deploy in the battle and many strategic plans to execute.
Note: I only have limited cards but they are useful in some rule sets and I will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want a high chance of winning, I advise you to rent or buy useful or stronger cards for most rule sets.
Quix the Devious
Decrease speed and range by 1. (These debuffs won't be used in the battle)
- This summoner is greatly useful with 4 mana costs in the silence summoner rule set, and has many strategy plans to use and cards in the battle. Though It won't give any stats, it still has units to use in the battle.
Link of the battle: RUMBLE
My Lineup
First position - Arkemis the Bear
- Acts as a tank in the first position because of its massive health and with useful abilities to Protect, Halving, Forcefield, and Enrage.
Second position - Twilight Basilisk
- Acts as extra damage with stun ability, hoping it will stun by chance and deal considerably great damage with my team units.
Third position - Djinn Inferni
- My team's primary magic damage comes from five magic hits, each of which has the potential to stun an opponent. When this uni attacks an opponent that has expended more than 10 mana, the damage it does will be doubled.
Fourth position - Ash Mirage
- Headwinds is a little damage support unit that may be very useful if the opposition prioritizes utilizing range attacks as it reduces their damage by one.
Fifth position - Supply Runner
- Another support unit because of Swiftness and Strength abilities.
Last position - Countess Sinash
- Extra damage main range damage and support because of Blasts ability in 4 range damage and Swiftness ability for additional speed of my team.
Analyzing Battle
The enemy also uses the Quix the Devious with Dragon-Fire elements combo. The enemy seems to prioritize magic damage because it has Chaos Dragon, Void Dragon, Oshuur Constantia, Runic Skyclaw, and Djiin Inferni. Its lineup strategy is like boosting Void Dragon stats for tanking abilities and high damage because of Vruz that has Martyrs ability boosting adjacent stats by 1, especially the Void Dragon. All in all the strategy the opponent shows overpowered cards in terms of magic and damage difference and I think this would be challenging if it missed my attack or not.
Effective or not?
This time, I was quite lucky; as you can see from the match, even with Vruz's assistance in executing twice, my attack was still able to hit the opponent, the Void dragon. Even if the opponent outclasses me in magic damage, it is still unable to eliminate some of my units due to my superior speed and range damage. Thankfully, my primary supporting and damage team, Djiin Inferni and Counstess Sinash, were spared from the opponent Chaos Dragon's execution or hits.😂 I think speed puts you in a high chance of winning the match so plan your lineup with speed difference.😁
My favorite line-up in the element is water where most units found are high in speed, If you want to use Water Line-up, please read over some of my blogs, hoping they could be useful. 😊
Are the benefits from the new Update mechanics good?🤔
I'm not certain; I've had a mix of positive and negative mechanics reward reviews. However, I believe that this is a positive update to the rewards system since it will strengthen the ecosystem chain somewhat. I believe that some players are not investing as much in the game, which results in updates. Additionally, we can purchase SB cards, Merits, and other items with Glint, and some of us already have max SB cards with extra copies that can burn to Glint. The drawback of this is that SPS awards and Daily Quest chests are gone 😣. When we were receiving SPS rewards in the past, I even concentrated only on the SPS logo instead of the SPS number in an attempt to speculate as to whether or not I had received any fortunate numbers. To be honest, I received a lot more POTIONS than SPS.😆 Big thanks to the developers and others to continue developing the game and maintain the ecosystem of blockchain.
How is your experience in this new update for almost a month? Is it a good update to remove the SPS price from chests and daily quests?
Thank You! for being here, coming this far, and supporting me. I hope this will help you in some of your battles.🤗
You can share thoughts and ideas about what could be possible to use in this rule set.
