The year 2020 started amazingly well; we were all happy in church, screaming our hearts and lungs out because we made it to the new year, calling our loved ones who were far away and weren't present with us at the moment. Little did we know that something else was waiting for us, "something unpredictable," something we never expected.
Then boom all of a sudden we've started hearing stories about a "virus" that is fast spreading, I thought it was a joke but before I knew it "reality had stepped in" telling me that "this is real" Then the lockdown came "operation no movement" everyone was forced to stock food items in their houses because you wouldn't want hunger to destroy you even before the virus.
The entire world became still, and schools were shut down. After a while, another arises, and that brings me to the topic of today's "vaccine". I was at home that fateful day when I got a call from my aunty, who is based in another state, that I shouldn't take the vaccine. In fact, I should inform everybody who is very close to me not to take the vaccine.
I wanted to ask her reasons for saying it, but then I decided not to because I knew deep down something I didn't know was going on. So some days later, I started hearing different stories about people who took the vaccine and the kind of thing that is happening to them, "maybe the side effects." At that moment, I was like, "Now, this was the reason".
If I know what a vaccine is correct, it's a medical treatment that helps the body's immune system recognize and fight diseases. From the definition above, I can tell that a vaccine isn't something bad, and it isn't something that is bound to harm me. Rather, it is something that is diagnosed to protect my immune system and prevent certain diseases from entering my body.
The COVID-19 vaccine is being given to citizens to enable their system to fight the bacteria. "That is the main purpose," but then, from the news and from certain lips of people, the vaccine has side effects that are causing other diseases instead of fighting diseases.
In my view, I rarely believe things I see on the internet; a very close friend of mine took that same vaccine, and she was normal, so I don't know where others were getting their information from, though.
Well, I didn't take the covid vaccine though not for any reason at all. But then there were so many dramas that danced around that vaccine back then.
