They use the platform naturally.

No contest, no challenge, no force.

Only natural usage.

They do not ask how many Facebook shares you own.

They do not ask how many comments did you wrote today.

They are there for the content.

Of course to reach this point on Hive too, Hive need actual content too. Like in the above mentioned Facebook groups.

But mostly people, who actually interested in the contents.
