Night Lights' Perspective from Someone with Astigmatism | Night Photography #17

in Lifescape Tribe10 days ago

Hello dear Hivers! 💖 Hope you're having a wonderful day ✨

This photo is a glimpse into how the world can appear with astigmatism, especially at night. From the front passenger seat, the city lights aren't just sharp points but streaks and starbursts. The red taillights of the cars in front also stretch into vertical lines, and even the streetlights above take on a diffused, radiating effect. It's also why I have such difficulty seeing signs clearly and absolutely need my eyeglasses when I'm out at night.

Astigmatism.jpg

It’s a striking visual representation of how light scatters when seen with astigmatism, making familiar city scenes look beautifully abstract and dreamy, like painting with light. It’s a unique and beautiful perspective, capturing how vision can transform everyday scenes into something artistic; reminding us that even imperfections can reveal unexpected beauty.

”...even imperfections can reveal unexpected beauty...”
I like that statement @wanderelle. There seems to be a different kind of beauty at night when light illuminates spaces, buildings, streets, roads and things. The sight looks beautiful. And even things not really wonderful could seem so, like you said.

You're absolutely right ✨ It's like a whole new world comes alive, highlighting details you'd never notice during the day 🙌 Glad you liked it! 💖

I'm so glad you this Glims! It's so interesting to see how astigmatism affects night vision. The way you described it and captured it in the photo looks like art. It really shows that even our struggles can be beautiful in their own way. ❤️"

Thank you very much for your kind words sis 💕 There's often an unexpected kind of beauty to be found in our unique ways of seeing the world ✨I'm glad you liked it! 💖

I never really thought about how astigmatism could turn an ordinary city night into something so dreamlike and artistic. It's a really pretty shot ✨❤️

Indeed 🙌 Thank you so much for appreciating the beauty beyond this condition 💖 Glad you loved it! ✨

This is so beautiful and I liked the way you really explained to make it make sense.
Even imperfections can be beautiful

Glad you appreciate it 💖 Yes, we have to embrace imperfections to see the positive things on the other side ✨

!INDEED Now in addition to astigmatism, add a cataract into the picture and that scattering of light intensifies and unfortunately, over time, colors diminish as well.

I always loved the way Christmas tree lights look with astigmatism. Very pretty!

Thanks for sharing sis and have a lovely day!

Sounds interesting, it's like the bokeh effect 😮 And yes, Christmas tree lights are very good example because the lights are compacted in one place ✨ Thanks for sharing your awesome ideas sis! 💖 Have a wonderful day 💕🤗

You are most welcome! Take care!🤗💜🌹

This is a beautiful and eye opening way to show what it's like to see the world with astigmatism. It’s a gentle reminder that even what we consider imperfect vision can offer a perspective filled with wonder.🤗
