Cycling to Bakarlaka Peak in February

This month, before the snow piled up in our area, I cycled to Bakarlaka Peak.

It was a relatively warm day in February and the forecast said it would get colder in the coming days, so I decided to take advantage of the wonderful weather and climb the peak.

The climb started after Rosenets Park.

Beautiful views opened up around me.

Orange flowers of spring crocuses could be seen among the grass. It was beautiful among the dark orange colors of the forest.

The higher I climbed, the cooler it got.

How happy I was to discover large areas overflowing with snow-white snowdrops among the rocks. The small delicate flowers gave an incredible mood, cheerfully swayed by the icy wind.

The view that opens up from the rock towards the Burgas Bay this time was not very clear and slightly foggy. Outdoors, the wind was even stronger and colder and I didn’t stay long.

The return to the city was going to be much faster because of the descent. Unfortunately, the wind was against me and cycling required double the effort.

Thank you for stopping by!
