To be a disciple of Jesus Christ, one must follow all the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a disciple, we must follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. A disciple is someone who follows the teachings of another. The person whom the disciple follows is the Master. The Lord Jesus Christ is our Master.
We are the disciples of Jesus Christ. So, as His disciples, we must follow the teachings of His. We must obey all the commandments which He is teaching us. We must obey if we are going to be His disciples.
If we are talking about true disciples, it therefore means that there are false disciples. False disciples are those who follow Jesus like the Pharisees followed God. False disciples are not willing to obey everything which is commanded by God. They are those who try to paraphrase the scriptures to suit their carnal desires. We should not be false disciples. We should follow all the commandments of God.
