Yes, that's likely true. I'll definitely need to spend more to get the kind of phone to which I'm accustomed. I usually get them through the carrier, which gives upgrade discounts, so I've usually gotten new phones for just over $100. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

While discounts are good, I assume that there are drawbacks to getting a phone from a carrier compared to getting it online without passing through a courier. 🤔🤯🤓

Yes, there are indeed drawbacks to getting a phone through the carrier, the most important of which is they lock all the bootloaders! They also load the phone will all sorts of apps that I don't need or want, and without root access, that I can't uninstall! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Just a decade or two ago, phones were easier and safer to unlock when locked by whatever carrier locked them. 🤔🤯 Now, forcing to unlock the bootloader can often brick phones. 🤯🤯💸😅

Well, for phones it voids the warranty, for laptops, I have no idea, probably. I never get warranty plan if they offer it, because I'm not a regular user. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
