Once it start to fail in any important regard, then I'd get a new one, but this time not through the phone carrier, but rather online, so that I can get the model that I want with an unlocked bootloader. I used to publish posts on Linux, so posting about my adventures with my new phone wouldn't be difficult. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Yes, there are indeed drawbacks to getting a phone through the carrier, the most important of which is they lock all the bootloaders! They also load the phone will all sorts of apps that I don't need or want, and without root access, that I can't uninstall! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Just a decade or two ago, phones were easier and safer to unlock when locked by whatever carrier locked them. 🤔🤯 Now, forcing to unlock the bootloader can often brick phones. 🤯🤯💸😅
