My X report & the week I got my cloak of invisibility on X
I find X to be an amazing platform. Normally if you are using X Facebook or any other web 2 social media platform you do so mainly to catch up with friends.
Catching up with the news on X
Be it news, gossip or rumours they all spread like wildfire on X
For the consumer of content it is a sea of free flowing content that they can consume without having to do much effort.
With this ready market of consumers that is
- Huge in terms of numbers ,
- Actively lapping up content 24X7 and
- Is global
comes a big opportunity for brands and creators.
This opportunity is to create a direct one to one dialog with the audience.
Be it a brand or someone who wants to grow their social media influence both these segments of users can tap into the pool of consumers.
Being an influencer on X can be lucrative
If anyone wants to be a social media influencer on X then there are plenty of opportunities to do so.
There are so many niches that one can choose and start creating content related to that particular niche.
Most people think that being an influencer is all about creating content. However the process also involves consuming content.
Are you a passive or active consumer of content
Some people just view content on social media and move on. Others respond with a like or a repost.
A potential social media influencer needs to consume content of other influencers in his niche and react to it by way of comments.
This way he gets to interact with a larger audience in his chosen niche.
Once he starts doing this part well he would be able to bring some new viewership to his own content.
Ever since I received the X blue tick I have been trying to consume content from the standpoint of an influencer.
I would not say that I have 100% cracked the X code of how to get traffic to your own content however I have made some decent progress.
Here are the numbers and the report card for my performance on X.com

This has been an interesting week for me due to a number of reasons. First I share the numbers and then I would share the growth & performance on a day to day basis
Impressions are UP
Impression are 189K up by a 12% from the previous week
Profile visits are UP
Profile visits are 111 a decent 14% higher than the previous week
Followers are down
At 8 followers gained this week the number is down by 11%
Likes are slightly up
At 575 Likes the number is up by 1.1% as compared to last week
Engagement is Higher
At 1.4% the engagement has jumped up by 27%
Higher link clicks
At 27 the link clicks are higher by 80%
Media views are a bit down
As compared to the previous week the media views are at 19,590 down by 3.9%

The not so good days on X
Tuesday Jan 9th 2024 managed to get 14,969 organic page views
Wednesday Jan 10th 2024 managed to get 6821 page views organically
Thursday 12th Jan 2024 received 8819 organic page views
Sunday January 14th 2024 has so far earned 739 organic views.
All these days were when my account performance took a serious dip
The better days of the week
Monday January 8th 2024 buckled the trend of dips and did rather well.
With 84,469 Organic page views it was the best performer day of the week.
Saturday January 13th 2024 was the other better performing day of the week that earned me 31,425 organic views.

How I got my cloak of invisibility
This was a week when the Bitcoin ETF got approved and I was planning to do some content specifically around it.
However I wanted to add the lion face emoji to my X profile as I am active on Inleo.io
However this would mean that my blue tick mark would be hidden for a few days.
This was a tough decision for me however it had to be taken. So I went ahead and added a lion face emoji to my profile.
This took away the visibility of my X blue tick mark on Tuesday January 9th 2024 and got it back on Saturday 13th Jan 2024 late evening.
I am not sure if not having a blue tick mark should make a difference to the views on X however in my case it did.
I was invisible to all the users and the content that I was posting did not seem to get as much response I usually get.
Though I did get some impressions after my blue tick became visible again.
However then I had the opportunity to improve my profile picture and background in line with the inleo.io colors.
So I updated my profile and my numbers dipped again once my blue tick became hidden.
I cannot be 100% sure however, maybe the X.com algorithm has to do something with the numbers of views one gets or could be the way a user sees another user with or without a blue tick mark.
So here I am again without my blue tick mark wearing my cloak of invisibility. Let me see how my content fares this week without the X mark being visible.
I strongly feel that X should do away with the practice of hiding the blue tick every time we make an edit to our profile.
