I remember when this movie came out there was a lot of fuss about it. I was mesmerized by the visuals and the acting, but I didn’t understand a thing. Back in those days I took a film class and one my classmates said the best thing I have ever heard about Lynch: “David Lynch is a guy that makes incredible movies only he can understand.” My favorites from him are Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart and the criminally underrated The Straight Story. Too bad he didn’t get financial support to make his last movie. May he rest in peace.
