I really missed my Grand Parents, spending wonderful times together with my Grand Parents will be really missed that is why I decided to take a visit at their place in Sitio Makawa, Naawan Misamis Oriental. This Place is quitely far from our areas and it takes almost an hour of hiking in order to reach my GrandParents place. During my travel and hiking adventure, I also found some wonderful and relaxing views at the river and stream and this will be shared to all of you here.
The road trail were I always passing by is now totally covered with thick wild grass, that is why I change my route and this time I decided to walked at the river. The is not deep and there are lots of dry land can be passing by. I already knew some of the routes here and is very easy to me which are the best way I go to reach the place. It takes a few minutes of walking at the river sight-seeing those wonderful and relaxing views just like cliffs, tall trees and landscapes.
Tall trees and wild plants can also seen near at the river. I really amazed of the old and tall trees I've seen at the place and this was my first time to be here. In fact while I am walking at the midst of the river, I also kept busy searching for any road trail leading up to the place and gladly I found it. This trees was already grows many years already and it gives the place a cool and relaxing feelings.
This road trail is quite challenging for me because it was very slippery. But it is easy to climb up on the cliff because of those dug soil that served as a staircase going up to the dry areas. The best thing I did was to walked very slowly and carefully so it wont fall down to the cliff or slipped in this trails.
After that, I crossed this dry stream. Because of the intense heat happens to our place, some of the bodies of water are already dried up living this big chunks of silica stones that has been washed out from the mountainous places of the Sitio. Some of the stones are covered with Moss and it will be very slippery to step in so I carefully and slowly walk to the stones in order to crossed to the other side of the place.
There are few abandoned houses can be found here and it looks very creepy and haunted. This old abandoned house and old Water pump is located at my Grandparents place. This structure was totally abandoned by the owner for a valid reason and now it is already and slowly covered with grass. Some of the house foundation are also broked and can't be used but the water pump is still in used until today.
Finally I arrived at My Grand Parents Place:
Finally, after almost an hour of walking I arrived at my Grandparents place. My Grandma was very surprised as she sees me and my Grandpa was very busy at the backyard chopping some firewoods. As for that, I explored my Grandparents backyard and I found this unique structures of their pig pen and waiting shed were the feeds placed. It is made of light materials just like lumbers, dry anahaw leaves and bamboo pieces.
They also have hundred of marcotted Manggo trees and this is one of my Grand Parent's source of income. They harvested thousands of Manggo fruits every year and My Grandpa was keep planting lots of young Manggo trees.
After that, My Grandma invited me for lunch and she grilled this big fish and this is one of my Favorite food combining with spicy soy sauce. I have a lot of fun time spending with my Grandparents, eating and having a funny conversations. A moment later, My Grandma was planned to went to the Supermarket to buy sack of rice and I joined her walking.
She was very happy while we are walking here at the Bridge and My Grandparents was very thankful to me for visiting them. I decided to went back home bringing some favorite snacks that my Grandma gave to me. It was very tiring but enjiyable day of my life.
