Very interesting! You must really enjoy your math! It's still early here so my brain isn't ready to process all of the math quite yet. It really is fascinating how he came up with these solutions for practical problems, and linear programming really worked perfectly for computers!

        Hi thebighigg, it's just like you said: linear programming and computers are a great match. Linear programming and computers go hand in hand for two reasons:
        1- LP provides mathematical models to decide how much to do of what, given constraints and objectives.
        2- Computers, on the other hand, provide the computing power and algorithms to solve real-world problems.
